Does Sleep Change With Age?
It was once believed that as you get older you needed more sleep then you got when you were younger. Now, after the advancement of technology and much sleep research we know that once you reach adulthood, the amount of sleep you require varies only a little bit as you age.
<br>
<br>However, the sleep patterns that you go through do change. An older person will often sleep much more lightly. As the aging process commences and the body gets older, the quality of sleep that a person gets usually declines and deteriorates. As a person gets older the sleep they receive its less restful, less sufficient, and becomes much lighter. There is a gradual decrease in what's called the delta sleep. The delta sleep is the deepest sleep that a person receives. It's the part of the sleep that is most associated with bodily recovery and growth. By the time a person reaches the age of 50 for men and 60 for women, they receive much less of that deep delta sleep. Sometimes when people reach these ages they receive no delta sleep at all and that can lead to these people being much more easily aroused by noises or other factors that younger people might not hear and sleep through.
<br>
<br>Although the length of time a healthy person sleeps does not diminish more than approximately 30 minutes from the age of 20 to about the age of 76, the incidents of problems during sleep does increase. When the person is older sleep is much more disturbed and time sleeping is lost because of interruptions. What this means is that people who reach this age may spend more time in bed and they may believe that they sleep longer, but in actuality the sleep that they frequently receive is often interrupted by very brief periods of wakefulness (these periods may be so brief that the person may not even be aware that they are awake but they are).
<br>
<br>Some people who reach these older ages have very many of these short awakenings each night (some older people may have up to several hundred of these awakenings each night), some lasting up to 15 seconds or less. These little awakenings can be so severe that it gives the person the feeling that they've been awake the entire night even though they haven't been. Sometimes, if the person just knows that this is a possibility it aids them in being slightly more relaxed about their sleep. Older people also may take more maps during the daytime, which can cause them to be even more awake at night.

<br>Remember, the quality and the amount of sleep that you get is usually normal if you believe it to be and if your efficiency during your daytime activities is fine and your alertness is not decreased then your sleep is sufficient.

Let's say you have a marvelous product or service (POS) to market. You've discovered that there are 1.5 billion people connected to the Internet in more than 100 English-speaking countries. Lots of those folks have a problem that your POS could solve, and they're searching daily for that solution. The question becomes: What are your chances of hooking up with those prospective customers, using your current method of marketing?

He or she probably patented the program and made about a gazillion dollars overnight, but that's okay with me. This marketing genius not only solved my problem (i.e. the solution I've been searching for,) the system gives me a tremendous advantage over my competitors. You probably already know that most people are slow to change. So let them stay with their old methods. They can watch my dust as I race to the bank with bags full of money.

<br>A good marketing system should do most of the following: 1) Train me--step-by-step—exactly how and where to market my POS, 2) Generate effective ads and/or marketing campaigns and show me the best places to place them, 3) Present each prospective customer with professionally written or recorded marketing copy, photos, videos, or audio clips, 4) Provide and explain guarantees--money-back or other, 5) Provide an efficient and secure means for the customer to purchase, 6) Collect and deposit all money to my business account, 7) Keep a current record of all transactions, 8) Deliver the pre-packaged product, 9) Thank each customer for his or her purchase, 10) Follow up at regular intervals with offers of additional POS, 11) For the prospective customer who elects not to purchase immediately, but who provides his or her contact information, follow up with professionally designed automated e-mails (autoresponder.) This repeatedly builds the value of my POS and encourages them to purchase later (special offers, etc.)

<br>Wow! If a marketing system can do all that, what's my job? I must find a proven system that's suitable for me. I also set aside some marketing funds ($500 to $1000 and up to start) and decide which POS I will market. Then I follow the built-in training to learn how to apply the system well. Once I plug in my POS and set the system into action, my job becomes to oversee and monitor it to be certain that it delivers the results I want. Oh yes, I almost forgot—and to collect my money and use it wisely.

AdWords and PPC Are Old News
You know what's really driving me nuts (and probably you as well)? The fact that about 90% of the systems and courses available on the net right now are all teaching the exact same thing!

<br>Everyone is taking the same AdWords or PPC training guide, changing it a tiny little bit and then re-selling it as some brand new, never before seen system that will create millions for you.
<br>
<br>And it's all the same regurgitated information! All people are doing is simply slapping a new cover on an old ebook and call it new.
<br>
<br>It's really incredible that so many people are getting away with this, and even more incredible is the number of people who get "taken" by this shady practice each and everyday.
<br>
<br>AdWords and PPC are old news, they were great 4 or 5 years ago, but these days you've got to spend months and thousands of bucks perfecting your technique before you have a chance.
<br>
<br>I swear Google is making it harder and harder to spend money with them. And if you're an affiliate marketer forget it, you can't just send people to your affiliate link any more, you now have to create your own landing page to get a better page (quality) score or your ads won't be shown.

<br>Also think of the cost of AdWords and PPC. Bidding on keywords can cost a small fortune and if you don't know what you're doing you can burn through your money blazing fast and still have nothing to show for it.

<br>Sorry, it's just the truth. If you're a one-man-show it's going to be a long, bumpy and expensive road.

<br>Right now over 61% of the World population uses a cell phone on a regular basis. That's over 4.3 Billion cell phone users worldwide and those 4 Billion plus people look at their cell phone dozens of times per day.
<br>
<br>You can reach more people via their cell phone than any other media on the planet. More people have a cell phone than have a television, computer, internet or anything else you can think of!
<br>
<br>The most incredible part is that the cell phone market is virtually un-tapped. Imagine being the first person to figure out that email was a good way to promote products to people back in 1998.

<br>Can you imagine how much money that person made?
<br>
<br>This is the same situation, it's virgin territory, and with 4.3 Billion people in the market and tens of thousands more joining every day the market just keeps getting bigger, and the growth isn't going to stop any time soon, so there will never be any danger of over-saturation.

<br>Compare the cost of the average AdWords or PPC campaign to Cell Phone Advertising, now I am being conservative but on average your keywords for a AdWords or PPC campaign will cost you around $1.50 to $2.00. Yes I know it may be less or more but on average it's about this amount.
<br>
<br>You can do the same advertising on cell phones for 5 CENTS, No that's not a misprint, I said 5 cents. (It's even as low as 3 cents). Try finding top keywords with Adwords or a PPC campaign for this amount… good luck.
<br>
<br>Let's compare, shall we…
<br>
<br>If you had a budget of $50 per day for Adwords or PPC and you had to spend a $1.50 for your keywords, you could ONLY afford 33 clicks per day and then your budget is gone. Only 33 people would see your offer.
<br>
<br>However if you were advertising on Cell Phones and it only cost you 5 cents per click you could have 1000 clicks before your budget was done for the day. Now 1000 people could see your offer in a single day.
<br>
<br>Who do you think will make money faster?
<br>
<br>I just did some cell phone advertising using a $50 budget for the day with a 5 cent click rate, plus I ONLY advertised on iPhones, which is only 11% of the market and here are my results.
<br>
<br>I got 63,985 impressions, I generated 1000 clicks (it could have been more but I only budgeted for $50) and my click thru rate was 1.56% and I made 19 sales.
<br>
<br>The cost of my product was $47, less the $50 dollars for advertising I made a PURE PROFIT of $843 in one day. Not bad for only spending $50.
<br>
<br>That's all well and good but before you jump into Cell Phone advertising there are a few simple steps you have to take when analyzing and attacking a new market:
<br>
<br>1) Find a way to get your message out to the people who are looking for what you're offering.
<br>
<br>Solution: Search in Google for Mobile Advertising Platform these are companies that will delivery your message for you. Make sure you check each company out before you sign up, you don't want to be associated with a company that spam's.
<br>
<br>Here's a little tip, avoid big companies like Google who have a cell phone advertising division through AdWords. You will need to spend a big chuck of change to advertise with them, which defeats the purpose of more cost effective advertising with cell phones.
<br>
<br>2) Find the right product that you can promote to the people in that market for a commission.
<br>
<br>Solution: Market your own product or use Clickbank. At Clickbank you will find tens of thousands of products you can offer. Just remember any web site you send people to CANNOT have video. The video used on websites is not compatible on cell phones.
<br>
<br>Here's a tip: find products or services on Clickbank that offer recurring payments, IE: membership programs. Remember my example earlier where I made $843 in one day, well that was to a membership site so I will make that amount every month.
<br>
<br>3) Develop a method to present the product you choose in a way that motivates people to buy it.
<br>
<br>Solution: Simply write eye catching and motivating ad copy for your cell phone ads. Keep in mind you have a limited number of characters to do this (usually no more then 35), so practice, practice.
<br>
<br>Here's a tip use words like Touch Here in your ad. People that use iPhone have touch screens so they are already in the habit of touching to navigate their phone.
<br>
<br>4) Fine tune your plan and repeat it as many time as possible to maximize your earnings.
<br>
<br>Solution: Test, test and test again. Because cell phone advertising is so effective you can see your results immediately. This gives you the opportunity to see what's working and what's not and make the appropriate adjustments.
<br>
<br>I just mentioned the iPhone, here's how big and untapped the market is. Did you know that the Apple iPhone only has an 11% Market Share in the Cell Phone Industry as of Q1 2009?
<br>
<br>What about the other 89% of the people?
<br>

<br>4) Fine tune your plan and repeat it as many time as possible to maximize your earnings.

<p>Around the world, discussions have been taking place about the Skills Gap for years. In too many cases, our returning Veterans cannot even get an interview for the kinds of jobs they are qualified to do.</p><p>Employers want highly trained professional and technical people. They want employees who can work under stress, employees who focus on the goal, employees with a solid work ethic, employees with team spirit, and employees with leadership skills.</p><p>Veterans have earned careers that will engage their very solid, stress-tested work ethic. They know how to focus on a goal. They can apply their skills to contribute to an employer's success. They are, above all else, goal-oriented team players. They are leaders.</p><p>World War II Veterans came home and deservedly became the much hailed "Greatest Generation." We all know about the skills and qualities they brought to our country and to our workforce. Today's returning Veterans are met with cheers but the cheers are followed by silence when they look for their place in the economy. One of the reasons for the silence is that neither employers nor returning Veterans know how to translate military experience into real civilian language. Attempts have been made by the military programs but they don't quite make it. Here, in fact is the gap to bridge. The "Skills Gap" needs to be addressed in the schools for the future but it needs to be addressed with Veterans today.</p><p>One Marine, tasked with keeping systems operating in their quarters when he wasn't in combat, came home to find that part time work for minimum pay in a gun range was the best he could do. He was understandably angry that his voluntary service seemed to have eliminated the chance for a normal life, that "couch-surfing" was his future. With a decent translation of his non-combat accomplishments, he is employed full time in a facilities management position.</p><p>A career Marine who made the effort to achieve two college degrees toward a civilian career when she retired from the Marine Corps, is doing clerical work.
